Sometimes a dog will have trouble learning a new trick. For example, not all dogs can learn to fetch. Some dogs have more instinct (they are born with it) than others when it comes to carrying things in their mouths. Roll over is difficult if your dog is dominant. Dominant dogs often don't like to expose their belly so roll over could be a challenge. If you've tried hard to teach your dog a trick and he can't learn it, give him a break and choose another trick that's easier.
